Comparing quotes
Garden rooms are built in very different ways, and two quotes for the same footprint can describe two quite different buildings. If you’re getting other prices, make sure you’re comparing fairly. Think about asking:
- What foundation is used and why
- Is it assembled from panels or built from the ground up on site
- What the roof is covered with, and how long it’s guaranteed
- Is the inside lined or plastered and skimmed

- Very low-maintenance exterior cement-fibreboard cladding in a selection of styles and colours

- Internal decoration – paint over taped and skimmed plasterboard finish to ceiling and walls; ready to use
- Energy-saving double-glazed uPVC windows and doors
- High-quality laminate flooring with a choice of design
- Recessed electric lighting and sockets
